An  Introduction  from  the  Headteacher

It  is  with  great  pleasure  that  the  Governors, Headteacher  and  Staff  warmly  welcome  you    to  The  Ridge  Junior School.

Whether  you are  a  prospective  parent,  new  child, governor, aspiring  applicant  or  new  member  of  staff  we  hope  that  this  prospectus  will  give you  an  informative  and  interesting   “picture”  of  our  school.

I  have  been  at  the  school, as  Headteacher,  since  September  2001  and  am  very  proud  to  lead  this  flourishing  and  successful  school. The  staff  are enthusiastic, approachable  and  very  dedicated  and  the  Governing  Body  are active  and  take  their  responsibilities  seriously. Our  aim  is  to  have  a  happy, effective  and  secure  school  with  a  caring,  family  atmosphere.

With  the  support  and  partnership  of  parents  we seek  to  provide  an  environment  which  will  offer  a  broad  and  balanced  range  of  challenging  learning  opportunities.

The  Ridge  team  have  high  expectations  of the  children  and we  are  committed  to  encouraging  and  celebrating  achievement,  effort  and  positive  attitudes.
